The Mangawhai Harbour Restoration Society is a community based, voluntary organisation, with the responsibility to liaise with local bodies and other community groups. 
 
Through the support of the community, the MHRS's mission is to restore the Mangawhai Harbour to its past prime condition, creating an environmental, recreational and historic resource for the enjoyment of all.
