PLANTING ON THE SANDSPIT
Planting had to be postponed from Friday 30th June so we are back again for another try. This week the plan is planting Thursday and Friday 6th & 7th of July - both days. The weather forcast looks good for Thursday but maybe showers on Friday. Please let us know if you are able to join us. See contacts below:

A DAY ON THE DUNES!
The Mangawhai Harbour Restoration Society is once again seeking volunteers to assist with the planting of grass seedlings on our iconic sand spit surrounding the estuary .
Over the years over 100,000 seedlings have been planted minimising sand erosion, and protecting our harbour. This is a great opportunity for people from our community to share in the unique experience of a day on the dunes.
Planting is set to commence from early July ,and as always ,we are guided by the weather.
